Hoboken Cracking Down On Uber Car Services Video included

The town of Hoboken, New Jersey is cracking down on Uber cars driving in and picking up passengers in the city. Uber is an app that you can use to request a car service to pick you up, but city officials say they are not licensed to operate in town. Marcus Enriquez was actually thrown out of an Uber car by a Hoboken police officer. He said he was on his way to work outside of the Hoboken taxi stand when a cop knocked on the window, kicked him out of the car and ticketed the Uber driver. More>>

The bodies of 10 dogs were found; one dog and three cats remain missing, but are presumed dead. The fire was so bad that some firefighters even had to be taken to the hospital. Police say that a Volkswagen Jetta traveling south on Kozloski Road crossed over the yellow line and crashed into an SUV sending that vehicle airborne which then landed on a third car. The three victims in the crash have been identified as 50 year-old Thomas Koller who was in the SUV.

One kid broke her leg, another suffered a fractured hip and the third walked away with minor injuries. The fire director walked away with a minor fine of just $206. Jocelyn Pelaez was the victim who broke her leg and had to get screws and tubes put in in order to walk again.

    Yesterday in front of City Hall, Governor Christie signed legislation that would create a constitutional amendment for bail reform. “Just last month there was a horrifying story of a home invasion committed by a man who was out on bail, that man who had a history of violent criminal acts was released on bail, entered a family's home, pointed a gun at the family's 8-month-old baby and threatened to stick the child in the oven,” Christie said.
