BALTIMORE (AP) - A Pennsylvania man who pleaded guilty to selling thousands of counterfeit goods, including military-grade integrated circuits, has been sentenced to 21 months in prison. Twenty-five-year-old Hao Yang of Bloomsburg, Pa., was also ordered to forfeit $59,000 in several bank accounts at sentencing yesterday in federal court in Baltimore.

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) - A Texas man has been convicted of fatally shooting four people, including two toddlers, after 60 pounds of marijuana disappeared. Forty-seven-year-old Darrell Lynn Bellard of Dickinson, Texas, was convicted yesterday by a Prince George's County jury on four counts of first-degree murder in the 2010 slayings.

OXFORD, Md. (AP) - The ferry between Oxford and Bellevue will begin operating again this year in time for the Easter weekend. The nation's oldest privately operated ferry service starts its 2014 season today.

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) - The Maryland Department of Agriculture is urging residents to help reduce the spread of invasive species that pose a threat to agricultural and natural resources. The department says invasive pests often arrive on cargo ships or with people returning from foreign travel.
