BALTIMORE (AP) - Dr. Nikita Levy had worked for Johns Hopkins Hospital for 25 years when he was fired in February 2013 after authorities opened an investigation and he admitted using a pen-like camera to secretly photograph his patients' sex organs. Levy killed himself 10 days after his firing. Now the hospital has agreed to a $190 million settlement with about 8,000 of the doctor's former patients.

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) - A D.C. police officer charged with trying to kill his wife is scheduled to go on trial in Prince George's County. Samson Lawrence III is scheduled for trial today on charges including attempted murder.

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Gov. Martin O'Malley has met with Maryland religious leaders to discuss how to help unaccompanied immigrant children who have been coming across the border from Central America. O'Malley held a meeting yesterday in Annapolis with dozens of representatives from religious groups.

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) - A Frederick woman has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for abuse that caused the death of her infant son. Twenty-four-year-old Elizabeth Tramonte had entered an Alford plea to first-degree child abuse resulting in death.
