WASHINGTON (AP) - U.S. Park Police say 145 people have been arrested during a protest against U.S. deportations of migrants in the country illegally in a rally outside the White House. Activists from CASA de Maryland and CASA de Virginia organized a crowd of hundreds of protesters Thursday uring the president to stop deportations.

CATONSVILLE, Md. (AP) - A Catonsville man has been charged with trying to kill his stepson. Reports say Baltimore County police say 62-year-old John Smith argued with the victim outside their home earlier this week and stabbed him once. The victim is expected to make a full recovery.

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - New federal health and human services figures show many of the child migrants placed with Delaware families are living in Sussex County. Reports say 114 minors without a parent or guardian since January have been placed with sponsors in Delaware's southernmost county while they await immigration hearings and potential deportation.

NEW YORK (AP) - NFL players will be subject to a six-week suspension for a first domestic violence offense and banishment from the league for a second under a new policy outlined by Commissioner Roger Goodell. In a memo to team owners that was obtained by The Associated Press, Goodell writes: "Domestic violence and sexual assault are wrong. They are illegal. They are never acceptable and have no place in the NFL under any circumstances."
