HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) - An automobile industry trade group in Washington is distributing a free window decal as a new way of reminding people not to leave children alone in cars. The U.S. Transportation Department says at least 17 children have died from heatstroke this year after they were left in cars.

MCHENRY, Md. (AP) - A draft management plan for the Deep Creek Lake watershed seeks better coordination among government agencies and private parties at the western Maryland vacation destination. The plan calls for the state and county to jointly develop an agency to coordinate activities within the watershed.

DOVER, Del. (AP) - Public health officials say Delaware's Women, Infants and Children program has received more than $690,000 to implement an electronic benefits transfer system. It will allow the state to replace paper food checks or vouchers with a card, which will be rolled out over a two-year period.

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - The Washington Redskins are enjoying a calm training camp this season. One explanation for the newfound harmony: Everyone gets to do his own job.
